I am Agnes Gunawan, an interdisciplinary artist and designer specializing in Illustration, Logo/ Branding - graphic design, and Animation with socio-cultural and ecological values. Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, I began my artistic journey in the USA. After studying media arts, I worked for 11 years in New York City as a  visual effects and motion graphics artist.

In 2019, I arrived in Dresden just as the pandemic began and became a mother simultaneously. This unique situation revitalized my identity as an interdisciplinary artist. My art weaves together memories, identity, and multiculturalism, drawing from my experiences in various places like Jakarta, Seattle, Columbus, New York, Dresden, Germany, and most importantly the growing whimsical life of my son, my little muse.

A significant part of my journey involves embracing my Chinese heritage within the diversity of Indonesia. I chose the name for my company based on my Chinese name: 少 (shǎo), meaning "Less," and 雲 (yún), meaning "Cloud," which I received from my father during my Mandarin studies in Taiwan in 2012. I blend traditional and digital media to create vibrant, joyful experiences through color and materials, evoking warm memories and bringing hope to daily life.

Starting in January 2023, I embarked on a new chapter as a freelance artist in the Elbflorenz, Dresden-Neustadt. I take on private commissions and participate in art collective projects with a focus on social and environmental aspects. Through my work, I aim to uplift people by providing a visual reflection of everyday scenes, fostering a sense of connection and empathy.
